What sets her apart: Pennsylvania Cosmetic Dentist Dr Snyder has a intensely personal interest in TMJ and Neuromuscular dentistry she had been a TMJ pain patient for over 30 years. Dr. Snyder has come full circle in her quest for education on the TMJ disorders, exhausting every avenue in order to provide her patient the best dentistry has to offer. Neuromuscular dentistry has helped not only herself but countless numbers of her own patients. With the help of her Neuromuscular assistant Kristin Smit, she has also educated many other doctors of the benefits of Neuromucular techniques.
GETTING THE BITE RIGHT
My expertise in NEUROMUSCULAR DENTISTRY is so wholly fine-tuned because I personally suffered from the pain of temporomandibular joint disorder (TMJ) and I went looking for answers to help myself,
explains Dr. Snyder.
She is now trained in the use of the MYOTRONICS K7 EVALUATION SYSTEM, a highly sophisticated software program that measures the position and function of the jaw to determine an optimal treatment plan. Sometimes, to thoroughly evaluate and diagnose a patient with TMJ PAIN, we begin with gentle electrical stimulation (TENS) pads attached to the outside of the face to pulse and relax the muscles,
she says. Once muscle tension in the face is relieved, a patient′s ideal bite position can be determined based on where the face muscles should be rather than where worn-out teeth incorrectly position the jaw. As a result of a proper relaxed bite not only does the patient feel better, they tend to look younger and more relaxed.
She has an amazing eye for cosmetic dentistry and again draws upon the talents of her team to make the best impact.
Lastly she is very open and honest. Many people say a visit to the office is as pleasant as having coffee with friends.
